In keeping with the Black History 2014 theme of Civil Rights in America, we invite Montgomery College and the surrounding community to come out on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 to hear Mrs. Jacquelyn Bond-Shropshire share her heroic account of this important era in American history.

Guest Speaker: Jacquelyn Bond-Shropshire
The narrative begins with Mrs. Bond-Shropshire as a burgeoning student activist in a small North Carolina town to a fearless demonstrator on the world stage during the 1963 March on Washington. On January 2014, Jacquelyn Bond-Shropshire was honored as part of the Smithsonian’s “erected four walls of historic photos” in anticipation of the forthcoming National Museum of African American History and Culture (2015).
