Recently, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton let her inquisitioner have a piece of her mind as she demonstrated beautiful restraint during her passionate outburst.
Hillary stood her ground it is that simple. The media spinned the events as Hilary being ’emotional’, ‘hostile’, and ‘aggitated’. Had Hilary been a man standing up for himself, would anyone question the zeal needed to quell the attackers?
First Lady Michelle Obama had to sit next to Boehner at an inaugural breakfast recently where he most certainly made an inappropriate comment that warranted the standard “BACK OFF ME” eye roll. For those who do not understand the body language of stronger women that particular indicator is a warning.
Men or any other person who vilify the strength displayed by women are often insecure and deem her prowess as a threat.
What is pervasive in these particular situations is: 1) the perception of HER non verbal communication, (2) the behavior exibited by the offended woman, (3) the incident that elicited the response, and (4) the woman’s consequences for defending herself from the perceived attack.
