Yesterday while the world was stirring while waiting for word on the elections, I was compelled to get out the pots and add a prayed up batch into the atmosphere. While those greens were slowly cooking, I prayed for our President who was in the midst of a fight to regain his White House seat. I prayed for Michelle Obama and her children that they may continue to support the man that is most connected with the day to day struggles of the Americans who work hard daily to make this country free from the rest of the worlds wrestles.
That pot of collards did more than fill bellies it conveyed ‘good mojo’. It became a meal made with love, power, wrapped in prayer and served with continued strength.
There are those who sing and dance to praise. There are those who cook to PRAY.
