A much needed reprieve was taken to Southern Maryland and Rehoboth Beach, DE during the off season and it was AMAZING!
The weekend was incredible and I did nothing but explore. There weren’t any loud clubs or parties. The only bottle popped was the chill bottle of Sangria purchased at the duty free vendor. There weren’t any five star restaurants to speak of but the seafood platters that were served at Timothy’s in Rehoboth Beach- was that rustic LOVED cooking that 5 star just can’t surpass.
There was shopping at the tax free outlets in Rehoboth. In preparation for the holidays-it was nice to ENJOY shopping for once instead of waiting until the last minute to fight over the last Buzz lightyear or whatever other material purchase may seem fitting for the person receiving it. Bags and bags loaded the car and obstructed every clear view. The obstruction was needed to see things differently (hmmmmm).
The beaches were calm and quiet. It was not bustling with the sights and sounds of rowdy summer vacationers. It WAS the perfect setting to collect ones thoughts, refresh and renew the senses necessary to re-enter the metropolitan rat race…right before the holidays.
