This has got to change! There are folks who have been downsized, let go, released from former employ only to be cast in a sea of other low to highly qualified candidates vying for the same position.
Economic devastation of this magnitude has not been experienced since the great Depression!
This crisis is hitting every caste. No one is immuned from the dire effects this situation is creating. However, it is strongly suggested that in the economic reformation (that is the latest and greatest buzz word in this upside down town), has some sort of waiver for those who have demonstrated past credit savy. Apparently, if one has unpaid tickets it can impede ones ability to get a job. If one has poor credit which is damn near everybody these days it can significantly impact a potential employers willingness and ability to hire an individual despite their qualifications. What kind of craziness is that? Our own economic system disenfranchises capable AMERICAN citizens from seeking and maintaining gainful employment due to financial circumstances that are the reason for the unpaid bills and tickets in the first place.
Seriously, politicians and other decision makers do not function in the realm of the average working man/woman. Therefore it can be strongly argued that the folks making our decisions are out of touch with the needs of the common man/woman. Politicians, namely GW & family- have run us into the financial hills. Those of us who were once living high off of the proverbial hog are now scraping trying to muster a decent ham sandwich.
There are many who have never tried to live off of the system, gone to colleges, purchased homes and done all that society has deemed necessary to be successful. All for not! The money spent on college education, travel and acquisitions has been blown to hell in the matter of a few years. Whatever inside pilfering (opinion) that transpired during previous administrations, has completely done the U.S. and it’s citizens in.
Sadly the literal health of our nation is being compromised. People are forgoing medical treatment, automobile maintenance, food, and economic participation (shopping) because folks just don’t have the money. At the end of the day however all of the aforementioned activities are essential parts in making sure that Americans are safe and well preserved. Could it be, that it is intentional?
No one is throwing in the towel. Americans are resilient people and will find some way to get through this….but God knows I personally have NEVER EVER experienced anything this dasterdly in my entire life. It feels as if everyone is living as if it is a third world country rather than one of the “richest” in the world. How did this happen? Was our economic system that freakin’ delicate that it toppled in the matter of eight years? The questions posed are intended to espouse a deeper level of thought regarding 1. how to fix the problem and 2. how to prevent it from happening again.
The generation from which many children of baby boomers hail, has absolutely no retirement. It has been spent trying to salvage some semblance of palpable living, for which have grown accustom, living as Americans in a Westernized culture. One thing is absolutely certain, the definition or mores that once determined success are now irrelevant. Labels and titles that once eluded to ones social status are becoming obsolete, very quickly.
The fall of the towers in New York during 9/11 was not only tragic, it was the mark of the economic collapse that followed. Who could have imagined then, that it would be this far reaching and impactful?
